The Peach Patch: Community hangs out IRL

@ThePeachCobbler

Welcome back to the Peach Patch newsletter! Check out my previous newsletters here!

This week I hung out with some of the community in the city and had a blast! We ate well, watched a movie and went to a fancy mall!

But first let's eat

I absolutely love Korean BBQ as a treat yourself meal. It's always such a comforting and nourishing experience that also leaves me feeling really good. A lot of restaurants add ingredients that give me migraines or fevers so when I find a place that's super clean and tasty, you know I'll keep going back! This is a beef platter and sides at one of my favorite restaurants, Nubiani. Their quality of food is superb and the side dishes are really unique. Like their kimchi is mixed with oysters; that was a tad too fishy for me but some of the group really enjoyed it.

Here's a close up of some of the beef we ordered; it's always so incredibly fresh and high quality. My favorite cut was the skirt steak, which I believe is the middle-bottom part of the picture.

We also ordered a shrimp and chive crispy pancake, which might be the best I've had in the city. And also not pictured, was a complimentary soft-serve ice cream topped with a citrus marmalade which everyone really liked. The perfect sweet end to an already perfect meal.

Window shopping with friends

After dinner we had some time to kill before our movie so we went to the Brookfield Place mall downtown. I used to model for a client down there so I know the area pretty well. We had about an hour before the movie so we got coffee and tea and walked about. Three of us decided to do an awkward family style/middle school pose :D How do you think it turned out?

We were in the mall right around sunset and because all the windows face West, we got a beautiful view to the sun slowly going down. The moment reminded me of a great quote that went along the lines of Joy doesn't come knocking, it slowly creeps in and you have to welcome it. Watching the sun go down turning the sky a beautiful orange and spending time with friends was such a joyful moment. I'm so happy we got together!

Right before the movie we decided to sit the lobby of a fancy hotel connected to the theater. Enjoy this blurry photo of us LOL.

We were originally going to watch the new Demon Slayer movie but I heard from a friend it really wasn't worth it. So instead we watched Argylle and let's just say the group had very different opinions of it haha. It wasn't my cup of tea personally but some of the group really enjoyed it. I thought it was too cheesy haha.

And that was really the whole day together! We had a blast and I hope you all take the time to slow down and make memories with your friends and loved ones. Sophie and I met our friend for a walk by the water the next day; this is us cuddling while we waited for her.

Until next week Peaches, stay healthy and happy!
