The Peach Patch: Matcha and apartment hunting

I'm launching a new series of videos and looking for a new apartment. Come with me on a quick little journey through New York!

Matcha Mondays

One of my favorite treats is getting a really good matcha in the morning and sipping it while I take Sophie for a walk by the water. I liked doing that so much that I decided to make a little series of stories and posts called Matcha Mondays. But maybe it's time to diversify drinks and do some other coffees and teas as well! Checkout my Insta for updates on the various cafes and coffee shops I'll checkout around the city!

This week I went to a cute little Japanese match house called Setsugekka. Translated the name of the shop literally means snow, moon, and flowers; so poetic! This is me on my trek to the east side, very excited for caffeine :D

The shop was so cute and little. It even has an elevated platform that you can sit on if you take your shoes off. The matcha was super tasty and I was a big fan of the vibe!

Look at all the cute little matcha preparation bowls and serving cups in the background! I adore these unique pieces; in a way it reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle, my favorite movie of all time! So many fun eclectic pieces.

Have you ever tried Matcha or want to? It's probably my favorite pick me up treat of all time. Something about a warm matcha feels like home. And I think the caffeine from matcha is more subtle than coffee. I often get the jitters from just one cup of coffee so I can only ever do a few sips even though I love coffee too!

Apartment hunting in NYC!

I've been in my current apartment for almost 3 years now and I really love it so it's sad to think about moving! But I've been thinking about changing it up a bit to get more space and move to a calmer neighborhood. I'm looking all over Manhattan and some places in Brooklyn too but haven't found the right place just yet!

One of the apartment viewings had this great tree in front of it. Anyone have any idea what type of tree this is? It's almost like a vine, the way it wraps around the fence. I'm such a big fan of greenery that I'm really hoping my next place can have a little outdoor space. Sophie would love even a small patch of grass!

It's been a busy week getting ready for a big tournament and just taking care of life stuff like doctor visits so I haven't had too much time for other things. Next week one of my siblings will be in town and I'm very much looking forward to family time! I hope all of you take the time you need to decompress and make good memories with your loved ones.

Until next week Peaches, be safe, be happy and pet a dog.
